AMsoccerLEAGUES provides an environment that encourages players to develop at their own speed. This is promoted by positive and informative coaching where the emphasis is on positional play, tactical knowledge, technical delivery of our curriculum in game situations, the pass count philosophy and building attacks out from the back … not the win at all costs or results driven mentality which hampers our young players’ development.
As the main focus is the way that the team and the players play, not the score line, this then allows freedom to experiment.
Benefits of our Leagues;
All children will be able to play in a team irrespective of ability
There will be no substitutes so each child will play the whole game
One central location for all games at Duffus Park (3G Astroturf), Cupar
Full list of dates, times and fixtures for 1 season
AMsoccerschools sets the standard for discipline and sportsmanship
No parental assistance required
Children across Fife will participate each week
AMsoccerLEAGUES players are aged between 5 and 12 years old. There are 4 Leagues which are based on different ability levels.
All Stars - The focus is on playing 4 a side games which allows more touches on the ball and the first level of positional play is introduced.
Premiership - This is the step up to the next level which requires more team work (i.e. passing), communication, skill and in particular positional play. Teams are usually 5 or 6 side.
Serie A - This is 6 or 7 a side and has more responsibility on each player to play in their positions and know more about all the positions and how to play them. Skills in the game should start to become more frequently used to greater effect.
La Liga - This is the top ability level and is usually the older players with experience. This is the final stage of the leagues before moving to 11 aside and so greater emphasis is placed on all aspects of their play and in particular positional play and the AM philosophy of passing and attacking play. Communication is very important in particular at this level.
